Psalm 118:5 (KJV):”I called upon the Lord in distress: the Lord answered me, and set me in a large place.” Often, when we think of a larger space, we associate it with physical expansion. While that may sometimes be the case, the essence of this “broad place” goes far deeper. It’s about emotional, mental, and spiritual freedom. Many of us have experienced seasons where we felt crushed, confined, or under relentless pressure—like we were pushed into a corner with no way out. This new year comes with a prophetic word: God is bringing you into a broad place. He is breaking the chains of oppression and leading you into freedom. We are moving from distress to spaciousness, from trouble to triumph. This is our season to embrace the broad place God has prepared for us.
